Students learn about and through the arts by focusing on works of art, including performing and visual arts, film, and architecture. LCI's principles support learning across the curriculum. The Institute works in partnership with pre-K through grade twelve educators and degree-granting teacher education programs, and provides numerous professional development opportunities.  Jessica has been a teaching artist for LCI since 1998.   www.acjw.org The Academy—a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and The Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education—serves post-graduate musicians embarking on their careers. The two-year fellowship provides performance opportunities, advanced musical training, and intensive teaching instruction and experience. It is designed to develop the skills and values leading to careers that combine musical excellence with education, community engagement, and advocacy.  Since 2008, Ms. Meyer has been mentoring the fellows on how to deepen their work during their school residencies, while also coaching ensembles on how to script effective interactive concerts.
