"Jessica Meyer is a teaching artist of the highest order. The same sophistication, accessibility, generosity, fun and clarity we celebrate in her musicianship radiates from her work as an educator. She innately understands teaching and learning in and through music, and has developed her skills to such a high degree that she can apply them to a wide variety of settings and audienceslighting up a workshop, a classroom, and even an audience with her interactive concerts. If you want to see what a great teaching artist can do, hire Jessica and then stand back."

"Jessica Meyer is a wonderful teaching artist - she has worked at our school for 10 years and has developed a relationship with all the students. It is amazing what she accomplishes with young children. In our composition residency (Kindergarten through Second Grades), she composes music with the children to accompany a book that is part of their curriculum. During the class, the children discuss with Ms. Meyer how the music should sound and decide what dynamics, tempo and instruments to use. They then hum to her their ideas and she transforms it into musical notation. As a culminating activity, the children performed their piece with the Piaclava Trio. The smiles on their faces were priceless. The children were spellbound and did not make a sound. Their applause at the end exhibited their appreciation of both the music and their favorite artist. I sincerely want to thank Ms. Meyer for bringing the love of music to our children and giving them an experience they will forever remember."
